January 27, 2015: Alex Tice seems to have figured out how to get Copromyxa to fruit continually in culture. Here is an image of a sorocarp that we took this morning. 

December 10, 2014: Alex Tice's Biology Faculty Fund (BFF) proposal on developmental expression profiling of sporocarpic amoebae was funded for $800. Congratulations Alex!

November 21, 2014: 6 more RNAseq projects should be coming of the MiSeq anytime now. In total another 20Gbp! These are exciting new data for the lab! Keep up the good work Seungho!  

November 17, 2014: Alex's first developmental transcriptomic sequence data (from 9 RNAseq libraries) has arrived! Watch out Shadow (MSU-HPC's supercomputer) here we come! 

September 29, 2014: Alex and Seungho's first 13 Illumina libraries have been sent off for sequencing! 

September 18, 2014: "Complex patterns of gene fission in the eukaryotic folate biosynthesis pathway" was accepted for publication in the journal Genome Biology and Evolution. This collaborative work was lead by Finlay Maguire in Tom Richards Laboratory at the University of Exeter.
