April 28, 2014:  Our next paper was accepted in BMC Genomics on chlorarachniophyte nucleomorph genome evolution with a emphasis on the phylogenomic position of the secondary endosymbiont. Congratulations Goro Tanifuji (Tsukuba University) on an excellent manuscript!

April 22, 2014:  The laboratory was awarded a Henry Family Research Fund in the College of Arts & Sciences initiation grant for our work on amoebozoan phylogenomics. 

April 11, 2014:  An article that I am on entitled  “A mitochondrial sulfur  mobilization (SUF) system in the anaerobe Pygsuia” by Stairs et al.  was accepted for publication in  Current Biology.

On April 3 , 2014:  Stephanie Sorrell and Pamela Watson will be presenting poster presentations on their projects, on  Thecamoeba  and  " Ptolemeba"  (n. gen.)  at the Honor's Undergraduate Research Symposium (HURP) at Griffis Hall at 1PM.

March 6 , 2014:  I submitted my  lab's first completely independent manuscript to an international journal. Congratulations to my undergraduates, Pamela Watson and Stephanie Sorrell, for a job well done!
