October 19, 2015:  We are happy to welcome to Fred Spiegel, Lora Shadwick, and Ethan from the University of Arkansas. They are here to work on amoebae in the lab. 
September 16, 2015: We are happy to welcome to Kina ( Joaquina María García-Martín) to our lab for the next 3 months. Kina is a PhD student from Real Jardín Botánico-CSIC Madrid, Spain and is under the supervision of Prof. Carlos Lado. Kina is working on a Myxomycetes project with us. WELCOME!!!

May 5, 2015: The lab has been officially awarded our first NSF grant entitled " Examining the macroevolutionary trajectories in Amoebozoa, a major lineage of eukaryotes "! The grant is funded through the Division of Environmental Biology, Systematics and Biodiversity Science Cluster.
